The auditorium with the tabs closed

The Little Theatre is available to hire, for public and private bookings. In the past it has been used for birthday parties (childrens and adults), wedding anniversaries, works night out, hen nights, charity events, the Nairn Jazz Festival, the Nairn Book and Arts Festival, the Inverness College, and many others.

The Auditorium

  • 70 comfortable seats, raked for a perfect view
  • Stage approx 5m x 5m; small dock area; professional lights and sound
  • Seats moveable to form a dance floor, central well, etc
  • Extra seating on stage area if required
  • Accessible to wheelchairs; lift to upper levels of theatre
  • Video projection – DVD, laptop onto 3.5m wide 16:9 format screen
  • 2 dressing rooms

The ground floor foyer

Foyer and Bar

The entrance foyer is windowed onto King St, ideal for small informal groups who wish to publicise meetings by being seen. The stair wall is perfect for picture display - artwork, posters, framed or unframed. Upstairs, the Balcony Bar offers more private space.

Our tiny coffee bar, with fridge and microwave, can serve hot and cold drinks and snacks.

We don’t have a licence - we found it was too expensive - but we’ll help serve your own refreshments.

Access

There are 2 car parks within 200m of the theatre; on the Links at the foot of Cumming St, and off the top of Harbour St, with a lane almost direct to the theatre door.

Hiring

The theatre costs £20 (plus VAT) per hour to hire.
